Learn about Varroa biology and management, proper use of different types of microscopes, and how to assess your own honey bees for Nosema!

The hands-on portion of this workshop gives you all the tools you need to practice dissecting your bees for Nosema infection.

Ready to take beekeeping to the next level? For those of you who already have a working foundation in beekeeping, the WSU bee team aims to improve your understanding of queen rearing, bee breeding systems, and selection methods through presentations and hands-on demonstrations.

Guest Speaker:  Melanie Kirby, Co-owner of Zia Queenbees and Extension Educator of Land Grant Programs at the Institute of American Indian Arts

Registration Fee: $200
